My name is Briana Hedden, but to my close friends and family I am known as Brie. I have always loved photography and have carried my camera with me for as long as I can remember. I didn't always want to be a professional photographer, though. I have my M.Ed. in Counseling and previously worked as a mental health therapist. After having my two daughters and becoming a stay-at-home mom, I wanted to be sure to capture all of the special moments in their little lives, creating indelible moments that won't be forgotten. I enjoy taking photographs of my sweet girls and sharing them on my blog and on Facebook as well as creating keepsakes for my husband and myself. Just a few months before my grandmother passed away, she bought me my first DSLR camera because she wanted to encourage my love of photography and to watch me grow as a photographer. Unfortunately, she was not able to stay on this Earth in order for that to happen; however, I feel she has given me this opportunity to begin a new journey as a photographer. It is my wish that you will join me on this journey and allow me to help you capture the special moments in your life.
I specialize in outdoor, natural light photography. My style is photojournalistic in nature. I love to capture my subjects in the most natural way that I can. That doesn't mean that I won't do posed shots, I will; but I believe the most beautiful shots can be captured in between poses, when people are being themselves. In an age where many photographers are PhotoShop happy, my goal is to capture the natural beauty of you straight out of the camera, to the best of my ability. Of course, I will edit photos when needed to enhance color, composition, or remove a blemish; however, I will not over process your photos. The beauty of you and your loved ones will shine through without all of the fluff. I offer family portraits, senior portraits, engagement photos, maternity photos, newborn portraits, as well as special event photos. I look forward to meeting you and helping you capture your indelible moments!
